How do I start?
Simply show up during a Mysore class; you slowly build your practice by learning the the basic breathing techniques and posture sequences within the Primary Series that are appropriate for you. When starting to learn Ashtanga, practitioners work for short periods of time until basic sequences are memorized and safely adapted. Additionally, Beginners and Led Primary Series classes are offered at the Center to further establish an understanding of the breath, sequence, and rhythm of practice. You also could consider a private lesson, which is a wonderful shortcut to getting started.
